The "Samayam" clock project emerged from a visionary fusion of art and precision engineering, inspired by the ethereal dance of celestial bodies and the enchanting beauty of refracted light. This project challenged conventional clock design, using transparent acrylic disks and a transparent pedestal to transform the act of checking time into a captivating experience.

Exploring the "Samayam" clock's mechanism proved to be a formidable challenge. Achieving the harmonious interplay between its transparent acrylic disks and the underlying movement was a complex endeavor, demanding innovative solutions and precise engineering to create a captivating timepiece that redefines traditional clock design.

Prototyping and Working Model

In the process of creating a prototype and working model, we employed advanced techniques such as acrylic laser cutting and transparent vinyl printing to achieve a visually striking design featuring cyan, magenta, and yellow gradients. Laser etching was skillfully utilized to imprint intricate watch dials onto acrylic disks, adding a touch of precision and sophistication. The integration of a stepper motor and Arduino Nano not only brought the project to life but also showcased the seamless fusion of technology and craftsmanship, highlighting the innovative synergy in our approach to prototyping and model making.
